Sheffield Academy Coaching Camp 2010

Brisbane Youth Soccer Clinics will be staging our 7th successive Sheffield United FC coaching camps here in Brisbane during the June / July school holidays.

With the success of our Brisbane camps over 500 players attending each year.

All players, including goal keepers, aged between U6 and U17 are welcome.

The camps will be run over 5 consecutive days for 3 hours per day.  Highly qualified professional coaches from Sheffield and the UK will attend the camp to pass on their knowledge and experience to camp participants.

Players will receive:

15 hours of intensive training
Sheffield United training kit which contains socks, shorts and a playing shirt.
Sheffield United Camp certificate

All players must bring:

A water bottle
Shin pads
Football boots
Sunscreen and a hat
Good Attitude

We endeavour to provide quality coaching staff to all players irrespective of their age and ability.

BYSC have in past years invited Qualified Professional Coaches from Sheffield, England, to coach in our Camps passing on their wealth of experience. The 2009 Soccer Camps were very successful, with excellent feedback received from players & parents alike, we had over 400 players attend our Camps. All players from U/6 to U/17 are welcome to register, pre-booking with Payment is essential. The Clinic Training kit, consists of a Playing Shirt, shorts & socks. Players are to bring a Drink Bottle, Ball, Shin pads, Packed lunch & a Good Attitude.

John Dungworth UEFA “A”

A professional UEFA “A” Pro Licensed coach. John has coached the Youth Team at Leeds United Academy and 1st Teams at both Huddersfield and Sheffield Wednesday FC. An ex Professional Player.

Steve Adams UEFA “B”

A professional UEFA “A” Pro Licensed coach. John has coached the Youth Team at Leeds United Academy and 1st Teams at both Huddersfield and Sheffield Wednesday FC. An ex Professional Player.


Robert Poulter UEFA “B”

A professional UEFA "B" licensed coach, presently with the Sheffield Wednesday Academy. Rob has played for Sheffield Wednesday and Gretna and also Represented England U16s playing with Premier League players James Milner, Aaron Lennon and Tom Huddlestone.

A highly experienced Brisbane coach , AFC "B" Licensed. John's wealth of experience includes working with the Manchester United Academy and their Development program.

Gordon Sinclair AFC 'B'

An experience development coach, AFC "B” license Gordon is also an FQ coach educator.

Gordon Tulloch AFC 'B'

An experienced Brisbane coach , AFC  "B" Licensed. Gordon is the Executive Director of Brisbane Youth Soccer Clinics. He has trav-elled extensively to Europe to visit many Academies to witness and evaluate Player Development programs, plus helped several young Brisbane players reach their goals as professional players.

Guest Coach

Alex Tobin, is our guest coach and is one of Australia's most capped players.Alex was also a  guest coach for the 2008 camps.
